Welcome to this review of the Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand Programmable Coffeemaker. I recently bought myself one of these fantastic coffee makers to replace my old DCC-1200. I can’t say for sure whether the update was entirely necessary, but I felt that the stains on the carafe on my Cuisinart DCC-1200 had just gotten a little too brown for my liking. That is another reason that I chose the DCC-2000, there is no carafe problems with this kind of machine. With my old DCC-1200, as tasty as the coffee was when it was freshly brewed, the coffee almost always developed a burnt taste. With no carafe for the coffee to brewed into the problem of burnt coffee seems to have disappeared.

Filling up of the machine is very easy, I have had no problems whatsoever with spilling water on my countertop. For some reason a group of people have been complaining that because this thing does not have a removable water reservoir it is in some way difficult to fill with water. To those who have problems using a water pitcher to fill their coffee maker, I say this, if you have difficulty using a water pitcher to pour water into the reservoir then you shouldn’t really be trusted with a coffee machine in the first place.

This model comes with the Gold tone reusable filter, which can be sold separately on some occasions costing as much as 20 bucks. The overall design of the machine is very sturdy. When I took the thing out of the box for the first time, I was quite surprised by the weight of it, but I feel pretty confident that this will last me a good long time. The 3 year warranty that it comes with is always a good sign. When a manufacturer puts a 3 year guarantee on a product and not just the measly 1 year then it means that they have confidence that their product should last.

The ease of use that this machine has means that nobody should have any real problems sorting out how to use this machine. My wife can use this thing with no problems at all and she is a complete technophobe.
