Hello and welcome to this Keurig B70 Platinum review. During this review it is my intention to enlighten the reader to the key issues on this machine and hopefully allow them to make a better decision when it comes time to buy their next coffee maker.
The Keurig B70 is truly a fantastic piece of kit, and while some people may try and dissuade you to trying this machine, I would wholeheartedly have to recommend single server coffee makers. The fact that we are seemingly restricted when it comes to flexibility of this machine is a possible off-putting factor that a lot of people might be irritated by.
Pod system coffee makers may have had a bad run in the past, but the Keurig machines with their fantastic range of k-cups really do make making luxury coffee as easy as 123. With over 200 different k-cups available we really are spoilt for choice when we get one of these machines. And it’s not just coffee either they also have tea, hot cocoa and even iced beverage k-cups as well.
Some people might complain that even the extra bold k-cups are too weak, and while I concede that if you are used to adding two scoops of coffee per 7.25oz cup then even an extra might leave you wanting, there is still an option to cover this. You can use the Keurig reusable filter and add your own coffee grinds, problem solved.
One issue that does seem to reoccur with Keurig machines is the pump noise level, this
is I would have to admit comparatively a little on the loud side, but it’s nothing to write home about and when we consider that the entire brewing process only takes 30 seconds anyway it’s really not that big of a deal.
The initial setup of the machine shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes out the box, the warm up time for a full reservoir is just 4 minutes. The price of the machine while perhaps closer to the high end of the scale than the low is well worth the investment, however much money we might put in at this stage it will all be made back within a year anyway. When we consider that the quality of each cup being produced here is the same as that of the local coffee shop, the saving is phenomenal. We pay what 4 dollars a cup at starbucks? Here we are paying as little as 40 cents a cup, so a 90% saving every time we have a coffee.
Thanks for reading.
